Iain Aire, born 1952 in London, lived in Scotland, New Zealand and currently resides in Spain.
A career in forestry and environmental policy, and cultural myths from around the world shaped Iain’s writing.
His soon to be published novel ‘The Grey Pilgrim’; his anthology of short stories, ‘Seeds’; and a new web writing concept, ‘The Story Tree Chronicles’ featuring a serialised story called Child of the Mist’ (inspired by the power of nature), can be found on this website.
Iain and his family lived in New Zealand for 16 years during which time he became intrigued by the traditional craft of handmade book binding. This lead to him training in the original techniques of making tanned leather for bindings, parchment and paper making, marbling, and metal work for corners and clasps. The purpose of his obsession, was to put his writing into a unique collection of medieval, leather, cord bound style bindings. Then in his spare time………..
